Uh, hi guys! Super late release today. I was working on these translations at the last minute. This is what happens when you procrastinate. In any case, we have two True Star chapters for you guys today. Is this good enough to satisfy you all for two weeks? Or maybe even half a year? Haha, I’m just joking about that last part. Though I make no guarantees on how long we can take between chapters.
Before you start reading, allow me to gripe for a few minutes about the descriptions in these chapters. While translating, I came across a strange sentence. I translated it as “A nose that let out warm air with every exhaled breath,” but that was only after staring at my screen for a few minutes. My only thought is: Yes author, thank you for describing the proper function of a nose. Is there nothing else you want to add? At least something about the shape of his nose and how it adds to his handsomeness? At this point, it seems like you’re praising him for being able to breathe. Come on now, exhaling warm air isn’t anything new. We all do it! Otherwise, we’d all be dead. Are you sure this is what you want? Gah!!!!
Unfortunately, that is what the author wrote, and that is what I have to translate. Sometimes, I marvel at the differences between English and Chinese fiction. You’d never see a sentence wasted on the function of a nose in an English novel. If you have seen one, then that’s either bad writing or sarcasm! Don’t do that! Okay, I’ll end my gripe here.
As for the poll, most of you chose to find another route. That’s the sign of a problem-solver. The next time you’re interviewing for a job and they ask you to talk about your strengths, you can say you’re a problem solver. 😆 For the 30 of you who chose to write a paper, hahahaha, good for you. Instead of wasting all that energy, I’d probably have just chosen a door. That’s all for this time. We’ll be back in April!
