When the car exploded, Su Yi Mo was shocked right to his very core, both his eyes burned with tears as he leapt up and off the back seat of the car!

All the bodyguards that had been part of the chase slammed onto their brakes almost instantaneously as they all stared at the explosion before them, all of their hearts jarring at the thought of what had just happened.

Su Yi Mo’s mind went completely blank, and then one single thought raced through his entire system, and that was to run straight to Little Liar’s side!

With a single swift motion, Su Yi Mo unbuckled himself and leapt out of the car running straight for the burning wreckage.

Master Su had very quick reflexes, and within a second, had his arm on Su Yi Mo, pulling him back into the safety of his arms: “Ah Mo! What are you trying to do!”

“Little Liar! I need to go save Little Liar! Let me go!” Su Yi Mo screamed as he struggled with all his might, two streaks of tears pouring steadily from his eyes as he cried: “Little Liar…”

Master Su grappled with his son, pinning him against his own chest as he solemnly said: “You cannot go there now! It is too dangerous!”

“Daddy!” Su Yi Mo cried as he struggled against his father’s strength, “Daddy! Let me go quickly! If I go save him now, there might still be a chanc–”

Before Yi Mo could even finish his sentence, two more explosions erupted from the burning wreckage, engulfing the entire body of the car sending bits of metal shrapnel flying in all directions.

If Ran Feng Ge was still in the car, then, there was no way they would even be able to recover the bits of his body…

“It’s too late!” Master Su said as he pulled his son tighter into his embrace. If they were able to let the assailants believe that the one that died in the car was Ah Mo, then Ah Mo wouldn’t be in danger anymore; and with Ah Mo out of the picture as a potential target from all his enemies in the business world, the Su Family would soon be untouchable.

“Daddy!” Su Yi Mo cried out painfully, “Please! I’m begging you, please send someone to go and save him! Please!”

“Ah Mo! You need to calm down!” Master Su said as he grabbed onto Su Yi Mo’s small shoulders, forcing him to look right up at him, “He did this for you. If you were to rush in there now and expose yourself as the real Su Yi Mo, then you will have wasted all his hard work…”

“I don’t care! I don’t care!! I want my Little Liar! I want him back! I don’t want him to die…” Su Yi Mo cried out hysterically at his father, his little face pained and completely covered in tears.

“Ah Mo…” Master Su sighed deeply as he pulled his son back into his embrace, rubbing his hand on Su Yi Mo’s back trying his best to comfort his heartbroken son, “Daddy didn’t want any of this to happen to him either… But now that it has come to this, we have no other choice, and all we can do now is to take care of his family properly.”

“Daddy…” Su Yi Mo gripped onto his father’s clothes tightly as he buried his face deep into his father’s chest, his pained voice constantly crying out “Little Liar”, “Little Liar”.

You really are a Little Liar. You stole my feelings and left me with such a cruel ending!

You said you wanted to become my wife and yet you still pushed me away that firmly! You abandoned me!

Despicable… Little Liar…!

After that incident, Su Yi Mo became ill for a time. He had a raging fever and was unconscious most days and clung to the children’s football that Ran Feng Ge had left behind, no one was able to pry it away from him.

When he recovered from his illness, Su Yi Mo would sit alone in the yard hugging onto the football in a daze; sometimes he would cry secretly, his entire being still painfully attached to his Little Liar. And then, there were the nightmares. The nightmares that would force him awake in the middle of the night in tears.

In his heart, Su Yi Mo was convinced that everything was his fault. The only reason why Little Liar was dead was because of him!

Had he not selfishly decided to drag Little Liar out that day to go take the photos, they would not have met with that situation! Had he been able to guess what Little Liar had in mind in the car that day, then he would never have allowed Little Liar’s plan to work out! Had he been able to run just that little bit faster, then he would have been able to tell all the bad guys that, he was the real Su family’s one and only heir, and that the person they were chasing was not the Young Master Su!

He was just a Little Liar… He was mine… My Little Liar…

It took a long while, but Su Yi Mo who became withdrawn and depressed eventually started to accept the fact. However, it was not without any repercussions, it was as though Su Yi Mo became an entirely different person. Before Su Yi Mo was like small adult; a matured and intelligent young child, but still a child, then after Ran Feng Ge “died”, Su Yi Mo evolved into the iceberg he eventually became known for almost immediately. It was as though he never knew how to smile or to laugh, just one look from him was enough to make people turn away from him.

Within the heart of the young Su Yi Mo, was a deep scar that refused to heal. In his short life of experiences, having given out his feelings without reserve only to have them shattered cruelly, was too utterly painful! Really too painful! Therefore, he vowed that he would rather not allow himself to get close to anybody else lest he had to go through the same pain all over again!

Master Su was not a cold-hearted man. He did send his men out to survey the wreckage site after, where they only managed to find the fatally injured Ah Huo. Ah Huo only managed to mutter: Little Liar… He.. He is not dead… He jumped from the car… However, due to his injuries he died before he was able to complete his sentence. Sadly, Master Su could only settle all the funeral proceedings and ensure that Ah Huo’s family would be well-taken care of in the future.

Later, Master Su did try and find out more information on Ran Feng Ge’s whereabouts, witnesses of the crash revealed that several well-dressed men in high end western suits were spotted carrying a little boy who had been involved in a road traffic accident away – but whoever those men in the suits were, Master Su was unable to figure out no matter how much he tried. However, Master Su was convinced of one thing: that child did not die in the explosion.

However, seeing as how Su Yi Mo had changed, Master Su was slightly reluctant to inform him of Ran Feng Ge’s situation. He felt that the person his son had evolved into – the stoic iceberg like persona was exactly what Su Yi Mo needed to be to inherit the Su Family’s business in the future. The young gullible boy from before would never have been able to carry the burden of becoming the head of the Su Family nor would he have been able to stand his ground against all the old fogies within the company! Truth be told, the Su Yi Mo of present was the best kind of candidate to be moulded into the king of kings!

Therefore, the period where Ran Feng Ge lived with the Su Family was slowly forgotten with the passage of time and slowly buried within the deepest crevices of both Master Su and Su Yi Mo’s hearts.

The only difference was: one buried the feelings due to the heartache it brought with them; the other hid them due to an ulterior motive.

From beginning to end, Su Yi Mo never found out what Ran Feng Ge’s real name was, but he felt sad whenever he touched the word ‘liar’.

Ran Feng Ge on the other hand, had suffered a traumatic brain injury from the car accident, there was a long period of time where he was unable to remember anything. It was a long, long time before his childhood memories came back. But he never found out what that young master’s name was, he only ever knew to called him “Ah Mo” – he did not even know which Mo it was.

Many years later, Ran Feng Ge returned to G city from America and had decided to go back to the manor where he had one of the happiest days of his life. Once there, Ran Feng Ge found out that the manor had changed hands several times while he was gone, the entire yard had been renovated. Nothing from the past had been saved leaving Ran Feng Ge with only his memories.

Having learnt to be able to let thing be as they are, Ran Feng Ge only shrugged his shoulders before turning to leave.

Forget it, I’ll just treat all of that as a dream I once had!

At that time, Ran Feng Ge’s grandfather had already passed away, his mother’s illness had worsened to the point of not being able to even recognise him. Ran Feng Ge was going through a very difficult time in his life as he could not help feeling that in his world, there was now no one who cared about him. Life was now meaningless and without joy, and all Ran Feng Ge could do was live each day as it came without any motivation or goals to work toward in life.

While he had been in America, Ran Feng Ge had the opportunity to study a highly sought-after profession – the ability to change one’s appearance at will and many other skills that worked in unison: the skill to become a ‘Body Double’. It was through this that Ran Feng Ge became acquainted with Chen Xi Ran and Mi Le.

The only reason he returned to G City in the middle of a mission was because Ran Feng Ge had sustained a head injury which caused him to recover his missing childhood memories. Because of this, he decided to come back home for a visit in an attempt to find his beloved playmate from before. Alas, time waits for no one; being unable to find the person he had been looking for, Ran Feng Ge felt even more detached from his past self now.

Ran Feng Ge paid for his mother’s medical bills and even left a large sum of money for any further treatments, on top of that, he tracked down both his uncles who had been released from prison and helped them find proper jobs without them ever finding out. All Ran Feng Ge wanted to do now was to ensure that his remaining family members would be well-taken care of.

After ensuring that his family was alright, Ran Feng Ge threw away all his attachments to this city and went back to America to take on new and exciting ‘Body Double’ missions; he was not only able to earn big bucks, he would also be able to live a life full of thrills and excitement. There was not going to be a dull moment in his life from now on.

He was a single man with no emotional attachments, whatever he wanted to do, he could do them with no regrets.

To be honest, Ran Feng Ge did not really want to go the America; that was because that place held a nightmare he never wished to remember – the An Family.

However, because he had his mentor and his two buddies, he was a little reluctant to part ways with them. After hesitating for a long while, Ran Feng Ge still decided to take the leap of faith and go back to America.

The only thing Ran Feng Ge never could have expected was that on his return to America, he would meet with an even worse nightmare – Lan Kuang.

To get a clear picture, one has to go back all the way to the day of the car explosion where Ran Feng Ge took on his very first mission of being a body double to protect Su Yi Mo.

After pushing Su Yi Mo out of the car and successfully diverting the assailant’s attention onto them, Ah Huo was only able to release the breath he had been holding. He could not help himself from thinking – Little Liar is really very intelligent!

Once he had that short breather, Ah Huo started ruminating about the situation he and Ran Feng Ge were now in.

It must be because the assailants were now getting very desperate, one of the cars that had been chasing them sped up until they were in front of their car before turning the car around 360 degrees, driving straight towards them at full speed!

Ah Huo’s driving skills were better than the average man, and he knew that at times like this, guts were all that mattered. Therefore, without batting even an eyelid or letting off the accelerator even a little bit, Ah Huo sped up head-on towards the incoming vehicle hoping that the driver of the other car would chicken out before they crashed.

The two cars kept getting closer and closer, and even Ah huo started getting anxious.

“Shieekkkk–” the sound of metal against metal screamed in his ears as the car Ah Huo was navigating swept right past the incoming vehicle causing the entire car to jar leaving only two wheels in contact with the road for a moment before the remaining two wheels returned to the asphalt.  The oncoming assailant car smashed directly into one of their accomplice’s cars causing a large amount of fuel and motor oil to start leaking from the undercarriage of both damaged cars. Desperate times call for desperate measures, both damaged cars refused to slow down and returned back to the chase.

Ah Huo knew immediately that this was a very bad situation to get caught up in because those two cars were now explosions on wheels waiting to happen. Therefore, Ah Huo ordered Ran Feng Ge to find an opportune time to jump from the car. Ran Feng Ge knew from Ah Huo’s tone that the situation had now turned very dire, even though he had put on a brave front ever since before he pushed Su Yi Mo out of the car that didn’t mean that Ran Feng Ge was not afraid of dying. Nodding his head in response to Ah Huo’s suggestion, once the car slowed down, Ran Feng Ge flung his small body out from the car door.

Two boys, two different times of jumping from a moving car. Ran Feng Ge did not have the luck of Su Yi Mo in that, he did not have a lush green field by the side of the car to land on, there were only guard rails. Ran Feng Ge smashed into the guard rails and because of his small stature, he slipped right in between the rails and tumbled mercilessly down the gravel slope that was on the other side.

After tumbling down the roughed surface of the slope, Ran Feng Ge had only just managed to slow down when the explosion rang through the air. The heat wave and energy erupting from the explosion flung his small body even further down the slope, the tumbling only stopped after his head slammed against a large rock near the bottom of the slope. The pain that had enveloped his entire being then and there forced Ran Feng Ge into a state of unconsciousness…

And the people who rescued Ran Feng Ge at the end of the day… Ran Feng Ge’s biological father, Master An.
